Hi my name is Travis Balitz. I was born in 1987 and I have been suffering from bipolar disorder since 2008. My very first episode was a reaction to Paxil which I got very manic. I was giddy and had no care in the world. But that is just a tip of the iceberg. I have had pretty severe depression and I struggled immensely with suicide and suicidal ideations. The mania put me through several nights where I wouldn't sleep at all. But the think that kicked people out of my life was my very impulsive nature and my unrelenting mix moods that drew a lot of aggression, anger and disruption for myself and others around me. This is a very vulnerable documentary and I tried to capture the various flavors of my life struggling with a mental illness. I don't expect anyone to like the video, but I do want people to acknowledge the struggle of mental health and how it can affect someone suffering with a mental illness such as bipolar disorder. I have some very raw footage of my career living with bipolar disorder since I was avid in documenting my very life whether good or bad. Though the label has been significantly different many times and I address that here, I still have had a life of ups and downs and I feel it is time I share it. Just a side note, the med list is not complete here but I will update my med list as soon as possible. I recently had a med change not to long ago and the date is March 2020.
With high regards,
Travis Balitz
