Josie is the daughter of one of my closest friends. She was terrified of me the first few years of her life, and it destroyed my heart. Then one day she decided I was okay. So now she's nine, and one of my favorite kids, along with her little sister Jessie. Using three-way calling, Josie and I called a few people we know to ask them about their Covid-19 experiences. This was recorded in April 2020, at hopefully the height of the pandemic and physical distancing. Enjoy the conversations, and a very special thank you to Josie, her mom Amy, Simon and his mom Hilary, Claire and her mom Jill, Zoe and her mom Amy, and Kyle and his wife Laura and dog Taylor. My life is richer with all of you in it!
Uppity Women is hosted by Stephanie Harris, founder of Women Lead Arkansas, a non-partisan nonprofit whose mission is to empower women and girls to engage in politics, policy, and leadership.
This podcast is meant to showcase women (and men!) doing cool things; be a place for hard conversations we need to have before we can make progress (race, politics, feminism, etc.); bring people together to figure sh!t out and get stuff done; and generally thumb our noses at anyone who would tell us what we may or may not do as women.
