Living The Fruit-Filled Life
The Greatest of These is Love
1 Corinthians 13; Romans 5:5-11; John 13:34-35
God Loves You. He gives you His love, so you can love like Him!
1. God’s Love is Supreme – 1 Cor 13:13
a. The first fruit mentioned in Gal 5:22
b. Love is God’s motivation for everything else – John 3:16; Jeremiah 31:3
i. He can’t love you more than He does right now; And, He’ll never love you less, than He does right now. God loves you!
c. Love should be our motivation as well – Love just as – John 13:34
d. Love is essential to live the Fruit-filled Life
i. We must receive God’s Love
ii. We must give God’s love – 1 John 4:19
iii. How else will the world see His Love?
e. Love is Available by His Spirit – Romans 5:5
2. God’s Love is Special
a. Unconditional, by definition; Perfect, by design
b. 1 Corinthians 13:4-8
c. Patient & Kind – both are Fruit of the Spirit – they are all interconnected!
d. So, so, needed in the world today.
3. God’s Love is Sacrificial
a. God’s motivation for the Cross – John 3:16; Romans 5:8
b. Our motivation to live – Romans 5, v9-11; 1 John 4:19
c. Always Giving, for the highest good of another
4. God’s Love is to be Shared – Spread around..
a. Romans 5:5 – His Spirit fills us with Love
b. John 13:34-35 – We live that out by loving others
c. Romans 5:8 – He demonstrated it to us – modeled it
i. By loving the unloveable, like us!
God Loves You. He gives you His love, so you can love like Him!
