As we face difficult challenges in life it is important to maintain an eternal perspective. Seeing the eternal nature of things (including our own lives) helps us face hardships with faith, understanding that as we seek to do the will of the Father our heartaches will only be temporary. The Savior Jesus Christ will enlighten our hearts and mind and grant us His strength and enabling power in order to overcome any obstacle. What must we do to obtain it? Make and keep sacred covenants.
