1. The ruling People Power Party and main opposition Democratic Party on Thursday each announced a set of measures aimed at resolving the country's critically low birthrate, as they gear up for April’s parliamentary elections.

2. South Korea's Foreign Ministry said Thursday the top nuclear envoys of South Korea and the United States held talks in Seoul and condemned North Korea's continued military provocations, belligerent rhetoric and its deepening military cooperation with Russia. A three-way talk also took place with Japan.

3. Pentagon officials confirmed Wednesday night that the U.S. carried out another round of strikes against the Houthis in Yemen, marking the fourth time the U.S. has struck the Iran-backed rebel group in less than a week. The strikes come amid escalating tensions in the Middle East and the Red Sea.
