1. A group of medical professionals with the exception of professional nurses on Wednesday began a collective action against the Nursing Act which was introduced last Thursday. The action began with shortening clinical and practicing hours, and holding rallies which started near the National Assembly.
2. South Korea’s Financial Supervisory Service on Wednesday launched its investigation into Kiwoom Securities Co. for an alleged stock price manipulation which caused a recent sell-off caused by contract for different trading by Societe Generale Securities.
3. The secretary general of Japan’s National Secretary Secretariat, Takeo Akiba, arrived in South Korea on Wednesday to meet with his South Korean counterpart, Cho Taeyong, to prepare for the S.Korea-Japan summit slated for Sunday.
