1. According to the Ministry of Science and ICT and the Korea Aerospace Research Institute, South Korea on Thursday succeeded in launching its homegrown space rocket, Nuri, placing 8 satellites, including the next generation small satellite, the NEXTSAT-2 satellite, into Earth’s orbit.
2. South Korea’s main opposition, Democratic Party, launched a signature campaign on Friday to oppose Japan’s planned release of radioactive water from its Fukushima nuclear power plant.
