1. Leaders of South Korea, Japan and China reaffirmed their commitment to promote peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula during their summit in Seoul on Monday. The three sides also agreed to regularize their three-way meeting.
2. Kyodo News reported Monday, citing Japan's coast guard, that North Korea has notified Japan of a plan to launch a space rocket carrying a satellite between Monday and midnight of June 3. The notice on the eight-day window came just before the trilateral summit between South Korea, Japan, and China.
3. The Korea AeroSpace Administration, or KASA, officially launched on Monday to devise South Korea's space policy and foster the growth of the country's space industry. KASA opened with around 100 employees at the temporary office building in Sacheon, South Gyeongsang Province.
