1. South Korea downgraded the COVID-19 crisis status from "serious," the highest level, to "alert"on Thursday. The COVID-19 isolation period of seven days is now shortened to five days and is no longer compulsory.

2. According to South Korea’s industry ministry on Thursday, the country’s exports dropped for the 8th consecutive month by 15.2% in May, driven by low demand for semiconductors. The country’s exports of semiconductors plunged 36.2% in May.

3. South Korea on Tuesday. succeeded in the fourth test of the Long-range Surface-to-Air-Missile, also known as L-SAM, which is a key homegrown missile interceptor under development. The country’s defense ministry said that it plans to embark on the mass-production phase in 2025.
