1. South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol and Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida will meet Wednesday on the sidelines of the NATO summit, following controversy over Japan's plan to release waste water from the Fukushima nuclear power plant into the sea.

2. South Korea's Joint Chiefs of Staff announced that North Korea fired a long-range ballistic missile, toward the East Sea at around 10 A.M. Wednesday. The launch comes a day after Pyongyang threatened to take military action, after the regime accused the U.S. of illegally intruding into the sky above its economic exclusive zone with a spy plane.

3. According to Statistics Korea, the number of employed people reached 28.81 million in June, up around 333,000 from a year earlier. However, the job market remained challenging for the younger workforce, as older workers took up most of the growth.
