1. South Korean President, Yoon Suk yeol will meet with Indonesian President, Joko Widodo on Thursday. The two will hold summit talks at the presidential office in Seoul at around 7PM.
2. President Yoon Suk-yeol and first lady Kim Keon-hee attended the launch ceremony for a 8,200-ton Aegis destroyer, dubbed the (정조) Jeongjo The Great. President Yoon called the destroyer a “national strategic asset” to his administration's efforts to reinforce maritime security.
3. The U.S. Fed hiked its interest rates by 75 bp for the second consecutive month as an effort to curb inflation. The 2.25 to 2.5% rate pushed the US rates above South Korea’s rates–which is currently 2.25%, for the first time since February 2020.
