1.According to data compiled by Statistics Korea on Wednesday, South Korea added more than 100-thousand jobs for the first time in three months in July. The number of employed people came to 28-point-86 million last month, up 172-thousand on-year. Jobs in the construction sector, however, fell by the most in 11 years.

2.The Korea Children's Hospital Association said Wednesday that the number of COVID-19 cases among children in South Korea has nearly tripled over the past two weeks.

3.The Israel Defense Forces said Tuesday that the Lebanese militant group Hezbollah fired some 15 rockets toward northern Israel, as fears grow over the possibility of a wider regional conflict. The rockets reportedly struck open areas, causing no injuries.
