Description

1. The South Korean currency fell once again on Tuesday as it hit 1,341-point-8 won when the market opened. The session closed with the won trading at 1,345-point-5 against the U.S. dollar. This is a level not seen since April 2009.

2. Since July this year extreme drought in Europe and China has dried up major water bodies, sparking a shortage of hydropower, jeopardizing electricity production.

3. South Korea reported 150 thousand 2-hundred-58 new COVID-19 infections on Tuesday, the same level recorded during the peak of the recent wave two weeks ago.
