1. The South Korean government said on Thursday that the country’s largest electric power company, Korea Hydro and Nuclear Power, has won a 2.2 billion US dollar deal to supply equipment and construct the turbine hall at the El Dabaa nuclear plant which is being built by Russia.

3. According to Korea’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Director General of Pacific Affairs Lee Sang-ryol sat down for director-level talks with his Japanese counterpart Takehiro Funakoshi on Friday in Tokyo to discuss compensation for Korean victims of Japan’s wartime forced labor.
