1. An official at South Korea’s defense ministry said Tuesday that North Korean leader Kim Jong-un arrived in Russia early Tuesday to hold talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin. The Korean Central News Agency confirmed Tuesday that Kim had left for Russia on Sunday afternoon, accompanied by Pyongyang’s foreign minister and top military officials.

2. South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol on Tuesday vowed during a Cabinet meeting to actively seek a trilateral summit with Japan and China. The comments come as President Yoon met with Japanese Prime Minister Kishida and Chinese Premier Li Qiang on the sidelines of the ASEAN and G20 summits last week.

3. Morocco’s Interior Ministry said Monday that at least 2-thousand-8-hundred-62 people have died and more than 2500 injured from the earthquake that hit the country last Friday. The quake was the strongest to hit the nation’s center in more than a century, and the epicenter was not far from Marrakech.
