1. South Korean Prime Minister Han Duck-soo and Chinese President Xi Jinping met on the sidelines of the Asian Games in Hangzhou, China on Saturday. During the meeting, Xi said he would consider visiting South Korea to strengthen the relations between the two countries.
2. The Ministry of Health and Welfare announced mandatory installation of surveillance cameras in operating rooms will take effect starting Monday. The revised medical law requires hospitals performing surgery on unconscious patients due to anesthesia to install CCTVs in operating rooms.
3. South Korea’s Supreme Court will be led by an acting chief justice for the first time in three decades as parliamentary confirmation of Chief Justice nominee {이균용}Lee Gyun-yong has been delayed. Ahn Chul-sang will reportedly take on the role of acting chief justice from Monday.
