1. South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol met with US Vice President Kamala Harris at his office on Thursday, and said that the South Korea-US alliance is evolving to a global alliance and expanding to an economic and technological alliance. Harris touted the alliance as a "linchpin of security and prosperity" on the Korean Peninsula.

2. The benchmark KOSPI closed at 2,197.75 on Thursday, up 28.46 points from the previous trading day. The local currency ended at 1,438.9 won against the US dollar.

3. The UN Security Council will hold an emergency meeting on Friday to discuss the three leaks that occurred across the Nord Stream 1 and 2 pipelines in the Baltic Sea. Western countries accuse Russia of damaging the pipelines, while Russia denies the accusations.
