1.During President Yoon Suk Yeol’s state visit to the Philippines on Monday, the two countries agreed to elevate bilateral relations and form a strategic partnership to enhance cooperation in security, economy, and energy.
2.The 22nd National Assembly on Monday began its first parliamentary inspection of government offices. A total of 17 parliamentary standing committees will conduct audits and inspections of 802 government agencies and offices for 26 days.
3.The Foreign Ministry said Friday that South Korea and the U.S. reached an agreement on the 12th Special Measures Agreement, which stipulates how much South Korea pays to help upkeep troops in U.S. Forces Korea. Under the new deal, South Korea will pay 8-point-three percent more on-year in 2026.
