1. South Korea’s Finance Minister, Choo Kyung-ho, said on Sunday that the government will inject a minimum of 50 trillion won or 34 billion USD to contain the so-called ‘Legoland crisis’, and avoid a liquidity crunch.
2. According to South Korea’s Joint Chiefs of Staff on Monday, South Korea’s military fired warning shots at a North Korean merchant vessel that crossed the Northern Limit Line at 3:42 AM. North Korea on the other hand, claimed a South Korean warship violated the western sea boundary and it fired 10 artillery shells into the western sea.
3. According to Chinese state-run Xinhua News Agency, Chinese President Xi Jinping secured a historic third term as leader of the Chinese Communist Party after the 20th Communist Party Congress that ended on Sunday.
