Facing new challenges such as imposter syndrome, difficulties coping with painful emotional situations, lack of sleep and the new responsibilities of being a physician can all feel overwhelming. In this personal conversation, Nicole and Shieva discuss the delicate balance of professional distancing versus empathy and reflect upon their own experiences with and coping strategies for the trauma and stress that is often experienced while working in healthcare.
