Description

Alex, Brian, Joe and Ant sit down to discuss the untimely passing of one of our favorite figures in hip-hop today, Nipsey Hussle. Nipsey was gunned down on March 31, 2019 outside of a clothing store he owned in the neighborhood he grew up in.

In fact, Nipsey owned numerous properties in his neighborhood, which he used to provide jobs and services for the people in his community. In addition to commercial properties, Nipsey had science and technology initiatives in place that were already bearing fruit. Nipsey was empowering his people in numerous ways

As far as music goes, Nipsey was coming off of the biggest year of his rap career with his debut studio album being nominated for Best Rap Album at the Grammys. The whole industry, as well as millions of fans and admirers are mourning his passing.

We’ll all miss the catchy and thoughtful hip hop music he was making, but even more so the keen business acumen, elder-level wisdom and commitment to his community that the 33 year old Nipsey Hussle had.

Rest easy, King! You are gone, but will never be forgotten. You inspired so many.

Although we had heavy hearts entering this episode, Brian’s invited guest, Marcia brightened the podcast with her presence. Please excuse some technical difficulties we had recording this episode. We assure you that you’ll still fully enjoy the free flowing conversation that the five of us had.

In addition to Nipsey talk, we touched on accusations thrown at Joe Biden and Kristaps Porzingis, NCAA Tournament talk, and a lot of hip hop and R&B talk with some hilarious and controversial hot takes.

Thanks Marcia for joining us. Look forward to having you back soon.

Hope everyone enjoys the episode and thanks for listening!
