How do you shift from judgement to compassion when you feel judgement towards yourself too?

Take a step back if you are judgemental of yourself; perhaps you may just be too close to the issue that you can't see clearly what's going on. If you feel judgemental toward others, ask yourself why. Is there a reason why you are speaking unkindly to them?
