Description

In this episode, we discuss our understanding and experiences with holding ourselves (or each other) accountable!

What keeps you accountable?

When you want to achieve something, what helps you stay on track and show up even when you don't feel like doing anything?

Through our conversation, we look at different aspects of our personal and work lives and discuss various areas where we might need some accountability.

We explore the relationship between accountability and judgement and we discuss different types of accountability...

First, we look at ways we might need to be supported:

- Frequent check-ins and regular reminders

- Self-governance

- Being overseen by someone we respect

We also discuss different approaches to holding ourselves (or each other) accountable:

- Monetary investment - triggering our pain centres

- 1-2-1 support - feeling responsible to show up and not wanting to let down someone we're committed to

- Peer pressure - fear of failing and being seen as an "impostor"

It's all about learning what works best for us individually and what works for our clients.
