Ep.11 Be The Boss Of Your Unschool
If you're new to unschooling, it can be insanely overwhelming, and you can struggle through seasons of worry, fear, comparison, and even guilt. But, it's okay. Be the boss of your unschool experience. Give yourself and your child permission to research and discover without being overwhelmed. Interest-driven learning works best when you let go.
With over five years of unschooling, you can bet I've lost my mind on my child countless times. I've screamed, miscalculated, over-expected, under-planned, over-planned, overwhelmed, underestimated, overspent, and all that. Guess what? It all turned out great when I turned it all over to God. It's okay to fail. We all do, and that's what growth and life is all about. Once you come to this understanding, you too, will find peace beyond comprehension.
In This Episode
In this episode I'm encouraging you to simplify your family's unschool experience so that your child becomes in love with learning. Unschooling is all about self discovery and there is absolutely nothing your child will miss. The crux of freedom lies in truly trusting God and having faith in the journey your family has chosen.
What I Mentioned
Giving yourself grace and time
Interest-driven options, no curriculum
Switch up the routines
You don't need to compare your family's unschool experience to that of someone else or to public school. Engage. Cultivate. Inspire.
