Ep.19 Unschooling While Black
So many of you are tired of the daily struggles, fears, biases, boredom, and lack of progress that your children experience in the United States public schools. I understand. Many of you are searching for advice about unschooling, so I've decided to share why I decided to unschool at our home. I'm on a mission to help you make the best choice possible for your child and you.
Have you thought about unschooling? Or what it means for Black Americans? Unschooling while black looks like creating your own narrative.
In This Episode
In this episode you'll learn about my why for unschooling. You'll learn how I developed trust in my son as he expressed what his interests and likes were in the areas of engineering, sports and acting. Today, I'm sharing how I am in partnership with my child. One of the most important things in our unschool journey is encouraging our black and brown children to believe in their self and to give them a voice. Our children need to know that they matter.
