Our culture has a crisis of identity, and in this way, we can each resonate with the plight of Ancient Israel while in Babylonian captivity. God's solution to our insecurity is timeless - he restores our relational soil by attaching himself to us. "I have ransomed you, I have called you by name, you are mine."
