Hannah Davey and Tyler Hartman are here to talk about music! Tyler is a dad rock (formerly punk) musician with industry knowledge and music production experience, Hannah Davey is a media enthusiast, writer, and podcast producer with opinions.
Hannah Davey is obsessed with the song ‘I Want It All’ by COIN. They even tell you how they found it. Then Tyler and HD get derailed talking about memories associated with songs, especially if they’ve seen concerts of bands. They discuss HD’s good experiences in Mother Mother, Hozier, Kishi Bashi, and The Mountain Goats concerts. Sometimes fans can ruin a concert (Tyler advises avoiding Buckcherry and general punk show concerts for the audience). Hannah Davey shares a story of a Daughter concert they went to, and Tyler notes it can be hard when you expect a certain vibe from a band but it’s different live. He discusses Shakey Graves and a Trampled By Turtles and Deertick concert, and HD notes their time in an Andrew Bird concert and Nathaniel Rateliff and the Night Sweats (who Tyler has also seen live). Lots of stories of seeing music live here, and the range of experiences that brings.
