This is a long, guided relaxation session (sometimes called savasana or 'corpse pose' at the end of a yoga class). It is meant to send you into a state of relaxation where your stress hormones are reduced, your heart rate slows and relaxes, and extraneous thoughts, concerns or worries simply dissolve.
It can promote physical healing and repair, deeper sleep, and more mindfulness.
