Jessica Lovell started her journey in 2013 with her mom’s Canon Rebel and friends wanting updated social media pictures. After a traumatic event in 2015 left her struggling to write, photography became her creative outlet and a way to heal, reclaim her power, and empower others. For six years, she balanced it as a side gig while working as a legal assistant, until being laid off in 2022—a blessing in disguise that pushed her to go full-time. Now in her second year as a full-time photographer, she’s proud of her growth and is reconnecting with writing through a contemporary hockey romance novel, with her husband as her biggest cheerleader.
