The Biblical account is full of people whose success had soured, and they, like us, could find no easy answers. The Biblical character Jacob was a schemer, a manipulator, and a deceiver, but this great charlatan was himself swindled and his life turned sour. So how did he respond? Did he get angry, did he sulk in despair, did he lash out with outbursts of rage? We will examine Jacob's response to his soured life this Sunday at First Church.
