Description

Having a securely attached relationship with God can heal our brains from trauma and give us a sense of clarity about who we are and how we want to live our lives.

A large percentage of humans live insecure lives. Whether it's a lack of security in our identity, our living situation, our family, friend groups, or romantic relationships. There are many areas of our lives that should produce security for us that fail to do so. That is why the concept of Neurotheology as outlined in the Life Model is so important for us to learn, especially as therapists.

It begins with developing a mutual mindset with God, our creator, the one who holds us all close. Securing an attachment to Him where we are thinking WITH Him, and actively becoming one of God's people. Fully experiencing his love and the secure attachment we are all often deprived of in this world.

So how do we do this? Where do we start? Listen in with Monica Mouer, MS, LCMHCS, CSAT, EMDR certified, and founder of CFT Institute as she unpacks Neurotheology and the Life Model concept of how to grow spiritually in a way that helps us to heal.

At the CFT Institute, we exist to resource therapists with skills for personal growth that leads to professional outcomes and it all starts with the transformational concepts of the Life Model. We have discovered that the implementation of the Life Model in our lives as therapists has led to more fulfillment in our personal life and relationship and amazing insight and growth in the lives of our clients as we practice, model, and teach these practices.
