What does it mean to be joyful?  Being joyful isn't just being happy.  Being joyful is about enjoying relationship with God and others and allowing these connections to fill us up rather than finding pseudo joys to fill us.  As therapists, there are many things coming at us trying to deplete our joy.  We have competing focuses and oftentimes overwhelming circumstances that quickly leave us feeling depleted and lacking in joy and peace.

My name is Monica Mouer, and I am a licensed therapist and supervisor as well as the director of the Center for Transformation.  We exist to resource therapists with skills for personal growth that leads to professional outcomes.  We have discovered that the implementation of the Life Model in our lives as therapists has led to more fulfillment in our personal life and relationship and amazing insight and growth in the lives of our clients as we model and teach these practices to them.

This episode details the true definition of joy, the challenges we face in terms of living in joy, how to fight for joy as well as filling up our joy tanks so we will have the reserves in times of depletion.    Don't forget to check out our website at www.cftinstitute.com or join us on our podcast The Place for Therapists to Grow on both Spotify and Apple.  You are also welcome to follow us on LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook as CFT Institute/Monica Mouer Counseling.  We look forward to connecting with you again very soon!
