Description

In this episode, I sit down At The Coffee Table with Rachel Watkins to discuss the pivots in her life that took her from Pediatric RN to Plexus business owner to body-building competitions.

Rachel Watkins RNC-BSN, NASM-CPT, ACE-BCS, Emerald Ambassador with Plexus Worldwide

Rachel Watkins earned her Bachelors of Science in Nursing Education degree from Indiana Wesleyan University in the spring of 2004. Post-graduation she was employed by a Level 4 Regional Transport Center Neonatal Intensive Care Unit where for 14 years she cared for the most critically ill newborns, oriented new staff, and assisted management in developing research-based policies.

With a history as a competitive club gymnast holding several state and regional titles as well as being a nationally competitive high school varsity and later co-ed collegiate cheerleader, it seemed only natural that Rachel would somehow continue to be involved in the arena of athletics in her adult life.

Her ever-deepening passions for health, fitness, supplementation, and competitive bodybuilding took her in 2018 to return to school and become a National Academy of Sports Medicine Certified Personal Trainer as well as in 2020 to receive her specialization in Behavioral Change.

Rachel is now 38 years young. She and her husband Steve have been married for 16 years. Together they have two children; Liam 12 and Makenna 8.

Rachel currently manages a six-figure home-based business as a supplement specialist with Plexus Worldwide and additionally her own online personal training business.

Rachel has competed in several body-building competitions. NYS Natural 2017 2nd place Figure Debut, 2nd place Figure Novice, 2nd place Figure Open Class A and received the Best Figure Presentation special award. Liberty State Natural 2018 1st place Figure Novice, 1st place Figure Open Class A. NYS Natural 2019 1st place Figure Open Class A. She went on to make her NPC Bikini debut in November of 2020 placing 1st in Bikini Novice B, 1st in Bikini Novice Open, 2nd in Bikini Overall, and 5th in Bikini Masters. She aspires to one day be awarded an IFBB Bikini Pro Card and compete at the Olympic level.
