Don Darryl Rivera (DDR), who plays Iago in Aladdin on Broadway, joins Scott this week for an amazingly fun chat! DDR talks about his involvement with Aladdin - from the show’s inception in Seattle to out of town tryouts in Toronto to opening night on Broadway. They also talk about when DDR met Gilbert Gottfried, when he guested on the national tour of Aladdin, and dropped into the London production for a few weeks. DDR, a proud Filipino, also shares his thoughts on casting equality, what it was like auditioning, rehearsing, and performing in an original Disney Broadway show, and how he keeps the role of Iago fresh since he's performed the show for over 8 years.
