God's anointed will be enthroned upon Zion but the nations will plot against Him. In vain they will try to conspire to rebel against His good rule. In Acts 4 we witness the fulfillment of this prophecy when Peter explains how the plot to kill Jesus was part of this rebellion spoken of in Psalm 2. Jesus was victorious by His resurrection and will ultimately bring all nations into subjection when He returns again.
