Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 30. I will then key in on verse 30: Every word of God is pure; He is a shield to those who put their trust in Him. My desire is that this verse encourages those listening that are not in a habit of reading scripture on a regular basis to just "dive in" to the Word of God. Every word in pure (and worth reading) and anything that you read in scripture will be uplifting to you. In John 14: 6 Jesus tells us that He is "the way, the truth, and the life." Jesus is the Word of God and every word of God is inspired of God. I will then close out the week by going over Joshua Chapter 1: verses 1-9. These words are the words from God commissioning Joshua to lead the Israelites into the Promised Land. God told Moses that He would not allow him to bring the people of Israel into the promised land. God commissions Joshua to do that once Moses dies. Three things we can learn from Joshua 1: 1-9 are these: God was with Joshua - as God was with Moses, and Joshua, I am here to tell you that God is with YOU today. Open your heart to Him and let Him into every area of your life; 2. God will not leave us or forsake us - God is always with us. I know, at times, it seems we are all alone at life (and it can seem awfully lonely). God is telling us in Joshua that He is always with us, and He will never leave us nor forsake us; 3. Be strong and courageous - God mentions this to us three times in the first chapter of Joshua. He is telling us the same thing today - be strong and of good courage (no matter what you are going through in life, God is with you and will see you through whatever you are going through.
