Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be reading Proverb 21. We will then key in on verse 3: To do righteousness and justice Is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice. I will then share from the letter to the church in Thessalonica: 1 Thessalonians: 5:verses 16-18 - Always be joyful; Never stop praying; Be thankful in all circumstances for this is God's will for you who belong to Christ Jesus. As we enter Thanksgiving week, I would like to say that I am very thankful for my wife's sister, Josh, and her husband Mike. I am thankful that they are allowing us to stay in there home as we are off for the week from Bible college. I then share from Luke's gospel Chapter 1: verses 26-45 and go over the account of Mary as the angel of the Lord declares to her that she will be with child (even though she has never slept with a man). After reading the entirety of these verses I want to key in on the fact that, upon hearing that her elderly cousin Elizabeth is pregnant, she immediately sets off to see what she can do for her and how she can help her. I believe this is how we are to be as well - especially if you have the opportunity to stay with either a family member or a close friend. We should do all that we can to help them out in any way that we can.
