Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 28. I will then key in on verse 9: One who turns away his ear from hearing the law, Even his prayer is an abomination. Friends, we need to follow the laws of the land that we live in. If we do NOT follow the laws of the land, then even our prayers will be hindered, as they would be an abomination to the Lord. The Lord has placed it on my heart to get back into a deep study on a particular book in the Bible. I have done earlier intensive studies on the book of Genesis (the creation, Noah and the flood, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and Joseph) & then the book of James in the New Testament. I will go back to the very end of the book of Genesis and read about the death of Joseph - Genesis, Chapter 50, verses 22-26. I will then review the goal of why I am doing my podcast. I personally have three goals in mind: 1. My desire is that anyone listening to this podcast will obtain wisdom - I believe that if you obtain wisdom three things will happen: a. you will make better decisions in life; b. to create an environment that is likely to win souls (inviting anyone who has not yet received Jesus as their Lord and Savior into their life); and c. plant a seed in people's hearts to desire for them to read God's word on a more consistent basis. I will close the podcast today by giving an overview of the book of Exodus (we will begin the study on Wednesday's podcast).
