Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 9. I will then give a brief description of this short proverb. The first 12 verses speak of having the Fear of the Lord and of the importance of walking in wisdom. The last 6 verses speak of living in folly - or, basically, living your life as though God doesn't exist. If you live your life that way, you will tend to walk in your own power and might and will usually end up making mistakes on a regular basis. I will then key in on verse 11 of proverb 9: For by me your days will be multiplied, And years of life will be added to you. Have you ever wondered why some people who are much older than they look seem so happy? It's because they are living the right way - walking in the fear of the Lord. Today I am going to instruct you on how you can activate your faith. First, I will go over Romans, Chapter 12, the first 3 verses. I will then go over Romans, Chapter 10, verse 17 ( and find that we need to actually begin at verse 14 and then read verses 16 & 17 in order for verse 17 to make sense. I will then go over Chapter 11, verse 6, and see that it order for verse 6 to make sense you need to first read verse 4 & 5. Friends, if you open up a passage of scripture and the verse begins with now, therefore, but, etc. it is a clue that you need to back and read previous verses. If you do this, I believe (and declare) the scriptures will begin to make more sense to you. I then challenge anyone who wishes to truly activate their faith to read the 11th chapter of Hebrews every day for the next 30 days. I additionally challenged anyone to also read 2 Kings, Chapter 4, verses 1-7 to read that as well.
