Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 2. I will then key in on verse 20 (NLT) - Follow the steps of good men instead, and stay on the paths of the righteous. Friends, we have choices every day (and many times throughout each day) where we can learn to have integrity (and do the right thing) or not to have integrity (and do the wrong thing). Every person knows what is right and what is NOT right. I'm asking that you choose to do the right thing - every time. Today we will continue our study on the Book of Exodus. Today I ask that you consider 3 things: 1. Moses makes (and God writes on) new tablets (as Moses had broken the original two tablets of stone.). 2. God renews His covenant - He did this this time by speaking with Moses (and Moses conveyed God's desires to the people). God wants us to do the same thing today. He wants us to follow His commandments. He wants us to love Him and then love people. 3. The Shining Face of Moses. Moses was so close to God and hung around His glory so much that his face shone. He wasn't even aware of it. The people noticed and were actually afraid of looking at Moses. So - he wore a veil when he was around the people, and took it off when he spoke with God. Our call to action continues from throughout the beginning of this year. 1. Have an attitude of gratitude (be aware and give thanks to all that God has given you; 2. Be ready (and willing) to give compliments to anyone who appears that they could use it - many people are hurting today, and a simple kind word or word of encouragement can make their day; 3. Lend a helping hand whenever you see an opportunity to do so. Suggested scripture reading - 1. Reread the 34th chapter of Exodus; 2. Read Psalm 91; 3. Reread the proverb of the day, Proverb 2 in its entirety.
