Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 6. I will then go over verses 20-23 in the NLT: My son, obey your father's commands, and don't neglect your mother's instruction. Keep their words always in your heart. Tie them around your neck. When you walk, their counsel will lead you. When you sleep, they will protect you. When you wake up, they will advise you. For their command is a lamp and their instruction a light; their correction discipline is the way to life. Today I am going to share with you two instances when People questions God and what He said He would do. The first example is found in the book of Judges, Chapter #6, where we will meet a man named Gideon. First I will go over verses 14 & 15. I will then give a bit of background about Gideon before reading verses 36-40. In these verses, Gideon challenges God and asks Him for proof that He would be capable of doing what He said He would do. I will then go to the 20th chapter of John. We will be introduced to Thomas, (many call him doubting Thomas). I will then read verses 24-29 and demonstrate that Jesus revealed His reality to Thomas. CALL to ACTION - I ask that you seek God in prayer and ask Him to reveal anything that is keeping you from becoming the person God has called you to. Suggested scripture reading: 1. Read the entire chapter of Judges, chapter #6 and read the entire story of Gideon. 2. Read the 20th chapter of John's Gospel.
