Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 14. I will then key in on verse 27 - The fear of the Lord is a fountain of life, To turn one away from the snares of death. Friends, everything in life begins where our relationship with God stands. Are we aware of who God is? Are we aware of what He has done for us? Do we have a healthy, reverential fear of Him? Are we good with the fact that He is God, and we are not? If that is what you truly believe, and if you live your life that way this verse is good news. If we live life that way we will not be tempted, by the tempter, satan, and we should live a satisfying life. On today's podcast we will take a brief look at the 13th chapter of the gospel of Matthew. We will read verses 1-9 ( where I will read the parable of the soil and explain the four types of soil). I will then go to verse 53 and read through verse 58. In these verses, Jesus goes back to His hometown of Nazareth. Because they recognize Him, they are blinded by their unbelief, and He could do no mighty works there. They were offended by the fact that He came back and was trying to teach and preach to them. Therefore, He could do not might works there. Call to action - I want you to think about Jesus going back to His hometown (after He has just healed everyone that has come to Him throughout the book of Matthew). Suggested scripture reading: 1.
