Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 10. I will then key in on verse 4 - He who has a slack hand becomes poor, But the hand of the diligent makes rich. Friends, the Bible (and Proverbs in particular) often talks about laziness - and the inference one can take is that if you are lazy and don't work that you, in general, will become poor. Makes perfect sense to me. God wants to be work. On the other hand if you are diligent in your work, there is a very good chance that you could become rich. Many people make lots of money. At that point, you need to be good stewards of what God has given you (many people squander their money). Today we will continue our study on Matthew's gospel. Today we will take a look at Chapter 24. I will go over the first two verses - where Jesus prophesies the destruction of the temple of Jerusalem. This happened about 30 years after Jesus' death on the cross. I will next discuss verses 4-14. These verses go over the end times. Many pastors and teachers of the gospel believe the end times are here and we are in the last days. Personally verse 14 makes me think that that time is not yet upon us. Finally, I will read verses 36-44. These verses discuss Jesus' second coming. He mentions in these verses that even He (Jesus Himself) doesn't know the day or the hour of His return. I believe these verses warn us that we should be ready for His return at any time. Be ready, and put yourself in the right posture so that when He does return you will be ready (and in right standing with Him). Call to action: Ask yourself where you, personally are in standing with Jesus. Suggested scripture reading: 1. Reread the proverb of the day, Proverb 10 in its entirety. 2.
