Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 20. I will then key in on verse 29 - The glory of young men is their strength, And the splendor of old men is their gray head. Friends, we go through different stages throughout our life. When we are you, we have youth, vigor, stamina, and strength. As we age, other things become more important - such as becoming wiser over the years. A sign of wisdom is graying hair. Although I do not consider myself old (not even close) my hair is beginning to show signs of gray. This means that I've been around the block a few times. But, it also means that I have been around long enough to obtain wisdom - and integrity. These are two things that are very important to me. This verse confirms the importance of this - if you are not wise, the odds are you will not live long enough to see gray hair on your head! Today we will continue Chapter 26 of Matthew. This is the fourth podcast I have devoted to this chapter (beginning on last Thursday's podcast, this Monday's & yesterday's podcast). If you have the time, I do suggest you take the time to listen to these previous podcasts. Chapter 26 of Matthew simply is that good. Today we will explore the arrest of Jesus and when Jesus is taken to the high priest. Caiphas could not find anything against Jesus. He wanted to, but there simply wasn't enough evidence against Him to put Him to death. Call to action - pretend you are in this mob who is determined to subject Jesus to crucifixion on a cross. Would you be participating? Think about it! Suggested scripture reading: 1. Reread the proverb of the day, Proverb 20 in its entirety; 2. Reread in its entirety this chapter of Matthew (Chapter 26).
