Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 27. I will then key in on verse 8 - Like a bird that wanders from its nest Is a man who wanders from his place. Friends, I want you to think about this scenario. It is Friday and the week is over. You've heard that a number of the guys (and girls) are going our for a couple drinks for Happy Hour. You think it might be an "opportunity" to get to know that girl (or guy) that has been showing an interest in you lately. You are tempted about the possibilities. There's only one problem - you're married! Oops! Am I saying don't go out with your co-workers? No, I'm not. I'm saying that you shouldn't put yourselves in situations where you could possibly be tempted to "stray from your nest" (home - spouse, etc). Today, we will continue our study on Matthew's gospel. We began Chapter 27 on yesterday's podcast (if you did not get a chance to tune into that podcast, you may want to check it out). Today we will continue going over verses 38-56 - this is Jesus on the Cross. I will give a bit of commentary about my thoughts covered over this very important passage of scripture. Call to Action - I would like for you to simply close your eyes for about a minute and imagine what it would have been like at that cross. Jesus has just given up His spirit, the earth has just quaked, the rocks have split open, the veil of the curtain separating the Holy Place and the Holy of Holies has just been rent from top to bottom (only God could have done this) and now the remains of bodies that have been in the grave are rising out of the graves and going into Jerusalem.
