Description

Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 9. I will then go over verses 4-6. I will begin this podcast by going over parts of Monday's podcast (if you did not get a chance to tune in, I invite you to listen to that prior to listening to this). I will go over Proverb 1:7 - The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge. I will then highlight verse 10 of Proverb 9 - The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. This podcast focuses on wisdom, but wisdom doesn't just "jump on you". It begins by receiving Jesus as your Lord and Savior. Once you say that prayer wisdom again takes time to acquire. I will go over Hebrews, Chapter 5, and read verses 12-14. These verses tell us that we need to learn the basics of Christianity (i.e. the Bible) before we can become mature Christians. I will then go over the Song of Solomon, Chapter 4 & read verses 1-6. For those of you who are married I invite you to meditate on these verses. I will then review verses 4-6 of today's proverb & invite you to: Call to action - Think about why you initially fell in love with your spouse. Ask God if the relationship you have with them is good; ask God about the relationship you have with your kids; parents; employer; etc. If there are any relationships you need help with, ask God for wisdom in how to improve those relationships. Be proactive. Humble yourself, and take the steps necessary to do what you can to improve your relationships. Suggested scripture reading: 1. Reread Proverb 9 in its entirety (contracting verses 1-13 and having wisdom vs. verses 14-18 and having folly). 2. Reread in its entirety the 4th chapter of Song of Solomon.
