Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 1. I will then break down this very important proverb into three sections: verses 1-7 (entitled The Beginning of Knowledge). Friends, in order to have knowledge you first have to have the fear of the Lord. You have to acknowledge that He is God (and that you are not)! verses 8-19 (entitled Shun Evil Counsel). Friends, it is vitally important who we seek advice & counsel from. Seek someone whom you admire, and are living the good life. These people are successful in their jobs, have vibrant marriages, and their kids are content, and happy. These people usually are church goers, solid Christians, and are well verses in scripture. verses 20-33 (entitled the Call of Wisdom). These verses are wisdom itself speaking out to us. Friends, God wants each and every one of us to have wisdom. I will close by reading Isaiah, Chapter 55, in its entirety. This chapter is title An Invitation to Abundant Life. This is the life God (and Jesus - and the Holy Spirit) desire for us to have. Call to Action- In prayer, ask God if you are living the abundant life? (if you are living the life He would have you to live). Suggested scripture reading - 1. Reread today's proverb, Proverb 1 in its entirety; 2. Reread Isaiah, Chapter 55 in its entirety; 3.
