Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 7. I will then key in on verse 24 - Now therefore, listen to me, my children; Pay attention to the words of my mouth. Friends, this is a plea from the author of this proverb - it could be God talking to you; it could be Wisdom talking to you. But he wants you to be serious about this. Pay attention to the words of my mouth. Friends, our words are powerful. When God spoke, things were created (i.e. Light, Be - and there was light). When Jesus spoke, storms ceased (Peace, Be still - and the waves calmed down). Our words are also powerful. Proverb 18:21 tells us that "Death and life are in the Power of the tongue". Listen to the power of those words. Friends, we need to be mindful of the words we speak - whether they are positive (the glass is nearly half full); or whether they are positive (my glass is half empty). Listen to the difference in those two phrases. Call to Action - Ask yourself (or pray to God) and really think about whether you are a "glass half full" or a "glass half empty" type of person.
