Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 13. I will then key in on verse 10 - By pride comes nothing but strife, But with the well-advised is wisdom. I will then remind the audience of the verse I brought up on Monday's podcast - Proverb 11: verse 2 -When pride comes, then comes shame; But with the humble is wisdom. Friends, pride is never a good thing. I will then review the passage of scripture I introduced on Monday's podcast: Ephesians, Chapter 4: verses 11-16. God has called some people to be in the ministry (such as a pastor or teacher), but if you have not been called into one of the five offices mentioned in these verses, let me remind you that the job that you are currently in is your ministry. On Monday's podcast I mentioned that the most important thing in life is having a vibrant relationship with God. The second most important thing in life is having a vibrant relationship with your spouse. The third most important relationship is the relationship with your kids. Finally (and not before) is your job. Many people put their job as #1, or #2, or #3 - and if you do that, many times your relationships will suffer or, possibly, end in divorce or estrangement. I go over some important questions to ask anyone that does not look forward to going to their job everyday. Call to Action: Where are you in all of this? Do you enjoy your job, and going to it every day? Pray about the things I discussed on today's podcast and plan on making a few changes.
