Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 4. I will then go over verses 24-27 - and then break down each verse individually. Verse 24 talks about our speech and putting away perverse speech from us. Our words are so important, and our words should edify people, or lift them up. Verse 25 emphasizes the fact that we need to be purposeful in our everyday lives. We need to remember that people are listening to the words that we speak and watching what we do. We need to be mindful to do everything as unto the Lord and to try to please Him in all we do. Verse 26 tells us that, once again, our actions sometimes speak louder than our words. We are to show the love of God in all we do. Sometimes, people may not want to hear the gospel message, but almost everyone will be drawn to us if we demonstrate the love of God in what we do. Call to action: Ask God where you are in this process. Is there anything going on in your life that you need to change? If you answered yes to that question, ask God to help you in that process.
